Debt/Money

 

If you are worried about money or debt it is important to get advice from an accredited advice organization so you can sort your money issues out quickly.

 

Money and Debt advice is available locally through the Citizens Advice.

 

Make sure that anyone hiving you money or debt is regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority).

Education

 

Education in the UK is structured:

Secondary Education (11-18)

Tertiary Education ( 18 plus)

 

All children are required to be in education from 5 to 16 years old. They must then be in education, training or employment between the ages of 16 and 18.

Help with employment

ACAS

 

ACAS provides a helpline for anyone who needs employment law or workplace advice for employers, employees and workers.

 

Contact ACAS for confidential free advice. They will be able to talk through:

 

-any work-related problem or questions you have, what the law says and how it relates to you

-good practice at work

-your option, including any risk and benefits

 

You do not have to give any personal details.

 

If you (or someone you're calling on behalf of) speak another language, call the helpline and ACAS can provide an interpreter.

Immigration Advice

 

LEAN offer monthly Immigration Surgeries to Lincoln residents through our partner GYROS. GYROS can help you with a range of Immigration services and queries in 1-2-1 appointments.

 

GYROS has an experienced multi-lingual team of Immigration Advisors accredited by IAA to level 1 and level 2.

GYROS

 

GYROS (Great Yarmouth Refugee Outreach & Support) is a multi-lingual Human Rights charity currently supporting LEAN to establish in Lincoln.

 

GYROS offer accredited advice: facilitate community activities and undertake research into migrant population in the East of England.

 

We are currently sharing knowledge and expertise to build LEAN into a thriving local resource for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities in Lincoln.
